Join us on Monday, January 29th at 6:00 pm at the Centre for Research and Innovation to upgrade your gardening and foraging skills by taking a dive with us into our Botany for Beginners Workshop. Botany is the study of patterns in plants.  Learning the basics of botany can help you with plant identification and deepen your understanding of their extraordinary structures & life cycles.

This will be a fun and interactive workshop, led by Megan Holdfast, homesteader and artist. Megan will guide us through a basic introduction to understanding different aspects of plants, which will give you a great foundation for many important food skills. Join us in learning these basics, plus lots of time for questions and discussion:

• Plant names & families

• Hands-on flowering plant profiling
